Logan County Television Translator System
The system is monitored and maintained by Mr. John Rietz of Yuma, Colorado. We will post to this web site any notices of extended translator downtime.
Low power transmitters and TV stations are not mandated to make the change that the DTV transition required. Translators are transmitters that rebroadcast the signals of a distant TV station to rural areas. Translators in this area include the Peetz Tower and the Tower on Reirdon Hill east of Sterling. Citizens using antennas and receiving their TV signals from the towers are encouraged to purchase a converter box for future use because eventually all channels will make the change. For more information on the Digital TV Transition visit www.dtv.gov www.dtvanswers.com or www.digitaltvtraining.com.
If you have questions or concerns about the TV translator please contact us on our Contact page.
